Story
Mycotech started out as mushroom gourmet producers in 2012. MYCL objectives are to grow material using mushroom mycelium as a natural adhesive.
Composite material development utilizing local agriculture waste bonded by mushroom mycelium which acts as natural adhesive.
The application could be various from small decorative items to structural pavilion. We want to collaborate with local industry to create a mushroom pavilion which has a local context, grown locally with the local community, and using their local agricultural waste. We are interested in working with Hida Kuma, which has an expertise in forestry industry and wood carpentry and design. We would love to integrate our material by using their forestry waste and create a pavilion which its design adapted to local context.
